Movin' to the Groovin'

I realize that I have become one of those incredibly boring people that only writes about their children. I make no apologies, one, because I'd be more boring if I only talked about myself, and two, because I happen to have one of the cutest babies on the planet.

SO...

Kara will NOT sit still anymore! She rolls from one end of the room to the other. When she isn't rolling, she's scooting. It would be cute if she didn't scream at me every time she gets herself stuck in a corner! Here are some pictures of her rolling adventure this morning...

Play Time

Kara really loves Bricen, and is completely fascinated whenever Bricen plays with her or talks to her. Kara was playing in her activity seat this morning and Bricen went over to play with her. I caught these pictures:

Kara at (almost) 5 months

My mom warned me that I might want to write all this stuff down so that I actually remember stuff about Kara when she's older. (As she puts it, the only thing she remembers about my sister is that she cried--and that I might wish I had remembered to write this stuff down later on).

Kara LOVES music. It is so funny--ever since she was about 3 months old, any time music comes on or you sing to her, she'll "sing" back to you. It is one in a long line of my favorite things about her. She's actually "singing" right now as I write this.

She has always been incredibly observant. I know that all babies watch things... but I swear, when she looks at things, she INTENSELY studies them.

She is a major flirt. She knows that if she smiles or acts cute, someone will pick her up. She flirts with just about everyone when we go places.

She figured out what cups are for. Her new trick is to lean towards a cup, try to grab it, and she will hold it and drink out of it (surprisingly well) if you hold the cup for her.

She recently (as in the last 3 or 4 days) started leaning and holding her hands out toward the people she wants to hold her. It is sooo cute!

She loves her play mat and will happily play on it for at least a half an hour.

She knows how to roll over and will roll over on her tummy quite frequently... but then "forgets" how to roll back.

She loves anything red and kicks her legs in excitement everytime she sees that wonderful red color.

Well, I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can think of for now!
